Collagen cream is touted as the answer to all our skincare problems to-day. If this really existed and was effective, then this would be absolutely correct.  Unfortunately, the collagen cream on the market to-day has so many defects and disadvantages that it is really worth your while to look elsewhere and find a better solution.

So, what is the problem with collagen?  First of all, it is a protein and dwells in the second layer of the skin, known as the dermis. It accounts for 75% of our skin. Then we could try to inject some fresh collagen derived from either steer hides, marine plankton or even cowhides. Each treatment consisting of one injection could cost you up to $300.  Apart from the prohibitive cost it is full of problems as there may be some immunological or allergy issues here.

Other preparations claim that the creams produced from this type of animal collagen is fully compatible with our own skin. This is a false claim because the collagen molecules are far too large to enter our skin pores. It would be great to add some to our own dwindling supply but we cannot.

The other problem is that the preparations are processed at high temperatures and chemicals are added to the mix to make it presentable, creamy and luxurious.

Then our lifestyle can adversely affect our own precious supply of collagen. The reason here is that things like smoking can actually deplete it.  Some researchers at the Nagoya City University Medical School in Japan found smoking produces an enzyme which can actually damage it.  So, as well as drying up your skin, it is also damaging its most valuable component. Depletion can sometimes reach 40%.  Dry and taut skin is the hallmark of a smoker and we can begin to see why this is so.

But is there a really effective collagen cream on the market to-day?  There is but nobody knows about it. The at is because this works differently in that the essential ingredient which is known as Xtend TK acts in a different way to your normal face cream.

This can actually penetrate the skin to the dermis where the collagen resides. It is bio-available and has been specially processed so that it can get down to that level. Its main ingredient is not collagen but a sort of functional keratin.

If I were to tell you that the company who invented this protocol and treatment is in the vanguard as regards skincare, you might well be a little sceptical. But it is true and the company is using completely organic and natural ingredients for the best anti aging products on the market to-day. Certainly this is worth checking out.
